I create software for humans. I've had a non-linear career trajectory that is equal parts Product, UX and Development. The common thread is building great, human-centric software that solves real problems. I prefer working with early stage startups where you need to roll up you sleeves and work across disciplines. I'm a very experienced full-stack engineer, but tend to prefer focusing on the front-end where I can have a greater impact on the user experience.

I love building software in interesting domains. I've worked on applications for virtualization, robotic motion control systems, finance, logistics, and spaceflight mission planning. My expertise is primarily in web technologies (TypeScript, HTML, CSS), but I enjoy using Go as well. I've gotten pretty darn good at building UIs, but I enjoy any opportunity to work with the backend. I try to challenge myself to do hard things that will level up my abilities. I've written a book on WebAssembly and gave a talk on orbit visualization software at Svelte Summit. I'm always looking for opportunities to help others in the development community by sharing what I've learned along the way.
