CityJS

A Community Event organised by the Community, our Javascript Conference evolved from the popularity and success of a monthly meet-up put together by 4 different JavaScript groups in London, including Halfstack, JSMonthly, London JS Community, and London Node User Group.

The main organiser of the event is Aris Markogiannakis (email aris@cityjsconf.org, telephone +447809468179).

Our aim is for individuals to be updated on innovative changes around the industry and JS as an entity. You can decide to hop in and out of thought-provoking workshops/talks with CityJS Conferences the most central, and reasonably priced event to attend in London. Our aim is to continue hosting and sharing these community led events and encourage all to be a part of it, no matter background or professional creed.

What we’re about

What is XTC?
XTC is the group of people who look beyond the canned answers in software development. We see "solutions" as a limiting goal. We are the people who are always questioning the established wisdom.

We are a monthly in-person meetup, where we discuss topics ranging from Extreme Programming (XP/Forest), agile management methods, lean theory, career management, programming katas, or anything even tangentially related to software. Software newbies, practitioners, and experts are all welcome!
Things usually start around 6pm but there are often a few of us around before that.

Round Table Format
The discussions will be decided at the event.
We first have topic proposals from everyone.
Everyone then votes - the facilitator will then help form discussion groups based on those votes (we may have two topics being discussed at the same time, by different groups).

Code of Conduct
Please review the XTC Code of Conduct

Web Directions

Founded in Australia in 2004, by long time web industry figures John Allsopp and Maxine Sherrin, (and now run by John), Web Directions conferences bring together the web industry’s leading experts from around the world to educate and inspire our attendees.

In response to COVID-19 we’ve moved our focus online, and in 2021 will host 6 focussed, in-depth conferences for front end and full stack developers.

When safe and feasible we look forward to once again hosting our annual Summit, covering all things web and digital-engineering, design, product, culture and leadership.
